School Policies

All School Policies are current as of the 2026-2027 school year.

Lessons

Lessons are weekly and ongoing (with a few exceptions - see Planned Breaks). You will be billed once per month for all classes during that month. Enrolled students will be scheduled to receive a total of 24 classes every 6-month period, for an average of 4 lessons per month. A la Carte billing is available upon request, if the student knows that they will be missing a majority of the classes during a given month. You agree to pay the invoice by the due date specified in the invoice. Unpaid or overdue invoices may result in dismissal of the student from future classes.

Planned Breaks

There are typically four Planned Breaks throughout the school year. These are listed in the school calendar at www.PlayLoveLearn.com/calendar and also communicated via text and email if you are enrolled in text and email communication channels. Typically, these include a break in the spring (Spring Break), a break in the summer (Summer Break), a break in the fall (Thanksgiving Break) and a break in the winter (Christmas Break). These four Planned Breaks are not counted as part of the weekly, ongoing lessons. There are no classes scheduled during these Planned Breaks, and any weekly lessons that would fall during these breaks do not count as "Missed Lessons".

Absences

In the event of a student absence due to illness, cancellation of the weekly lesson must be communicated to the school no later than 1:00pm the day of the scheduled class via text, email, or phone call. You may reschedule any missed classes by the end of the current semester (typically June 30 or Dec 31) or else forfeit the missed classes.

In the event of a teacher absence due to illness, family emergency, or dangerous weather conditions, we will make a good faith effort to provide access to a substitute teacher or reschedule the missed class on a different day and time. We reserve the right to cancel classes due to dangerous weather or illness.
