For the developing pianist
The intermediate pianist is learning how to express different emotive ideas, moods, and stylistic choices. They are beginning to incorporate phrasing, articulations, dynamics, and tempo changes. The intermediate pianist is encouraged to think not just about the notes, but about what the notes mean, and how best to convey that meaning to the audience. Songs are a little longer, and designed to evoke a particular mood or style.
