Primer: Unit 04, Lesson 3

Reading: Two-Note Chords

Goal: At the end of this lesson students should be able to read two-note chords, and identify the notes inside them. They should be reading each chord from the bottom note up, not top down.

Metric: Ensure your student understands that notes on the same stem, or in the case of whole notes stacked on top of each other, are played at the same time. Some students will become confused and try to count each note of the chord individually. When putting the Ten Second Song in review this week, challenge your student to see if they can play it in under 10 seconds by next week!

Assigned Song: Driving in the G Clef (5x), Sightreading (1x)

Review Songs: Sea Story (1x), Hey, Mr. Half Note Dot (1x), Alouette (1x), Middle C March (1x), A Ten Second Song (1x)
