Goal: At the end of this lesson, student should be able to identify a quarter note and its parts (filled in note head, stem), identify which hand plays the quarter note by the direction of the stem, and play quarter notes to a steady beat provided by the teacher. 

Metric: Continue to watch the student's eyes. A student who isn't looking at their music will not notice the change in measure 3 of The Old Clock.
